SONAS
Occupational Therapy
Our aim is to support children overcome challenges and build meaningful and fulfilling lives. We practice with a neuro-affirmative approach and are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

How we can help
Paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on helping children develop or improve the skills they need to perform everyday tasks, also known as “occupations.” These tasks could include activities like dressing, eating, playing, writing, and interacting with others.
The goal of paediatric OT is to help children gain the skills they need for daily life, whether that’s improving motor skills, strengthening social and communication skills, or enhancing sensory processing. It’s all about making sure kids can engage in activities that are meaningful to them and helping them build confidence in their abilities.
Examples of commonly needed supports provided at Sonas Occupational Therapy:
- Support managing day to day tasks at home or at school
- Assessments for movement difficulties i.e. Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
- Sensory regulation strategies
- School accommodations and/or assistive technology recommendations
- Support with routines and Activities of Daily living (ADLs)
